Le Domaine de Malavieille
Welcome to a traditional property, a family legacy located on the red soils of the Salagou area where the restored remnants of the road leading to Santiago de Compostela stand next to the imprints of dinosaurs. They tell us a long story of land and people.

Geology
The Permian sandstone which used to compose the shore of the Miocene sea is of medium depth and the fertility of the soil limited by a thick mass of fallen basalt rocks.
Elsewhere, on the Arboras mountain, terraces made up of calcareous masses of fallen rocks which appeared at the Pleistocene period, produce high quality wines. There, the Bertrand family runs a vineyard covering 30 hectares on the Saint Saturnin terroir both in Lucian and in Montpeyroux.
